My Partial Response:

I personally believe that Pastors have the right to speak about the good and bad of any candidate. Their job is to help people know what the Word of God says and if their leaders or intended leaders are in fact meeting up to that criteria. Of course, whomever does get elected the church would pray for and obey (unless of course they attempt to push us into something ungodly as you always say). It's not judging, but "knowing a tree by its fruit." No one should be able to forbid a discussion that will only benefit our society, but many are afraid that these things will lead to another "Crusade" of sorts (which wasn't Biblical at all I might add). No matter what the IRS may threaten, God will still provide.

I personally don't care about keeping church separate from state. You can show many different views about the candidate that you favor, but not everyone has to agree. Agreeing to be a Christian is showing your full committment. Your full committment shows your beliefs through real life situations. The president or any candidate bases their choices subconsciously on their beliefs. It's are decision to follow those leaders. The pastor has the right to educate us and we have to choice to chose who we want.

Thanks for sharing with us Becca. That's the beauty of the freedom that this country was founded upon.
